Alexander Grots is an innovation consultant and specialist in the “design thinking” innovation method. Before starting a career as a strategic advisor and serial entrepreneur, he has been the General Manager of IDEO operations in Germany and an associate Partner of IDEO Inc in Palo Alto, California.
In recent years Alexander has been working on a wide range of innovation projects for clients in the financial, communication, industrial and consumer products industries. His impressive portfolio covers ThyssenKrupp, Coca Cola, Nestle, Audi, Mercedes, GoreTex, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Siemens, BASF, Swarovski. He helps companies to identify and address opportunities and growth potential.
In 2014 He co-founded ProGlove, a successful German tech start-up making wearable scanners and digitally augmented gloves for industry workers. He also set up the HPI School of Design Thinking in Berlin, as well as other design thinking programs at several universities.
