Żywiec is a famous Polish beer brand and for decades Żywiec used to be considered the no.1 Polish beer brand. But lots of similar brands have entered the market over the years, it was the reason Żywiec was no longer outstanding as a brand. Żywiec Group approached Touchideas with a task of complete rebranding.

In its brand positioning, Żywiec states incentive for people to enjoy life together. Since there are dancing people on the label of the brand, why not let the idea speak for itself?

THE DANCING COUPLE

Żywiec dancing couple is of the most iconic Polish trademarks. The traditional folk elements of their costume have been restored, and the dancing figures have become more distinctive. Żywiec gains vitality and capitalizes on its rich heritage with the new brand design.

The new brand identity emphasizes the brand’s mountain origins as well as the refreshing taste of Żywiec beers. The key element of the new identity is the red ŻYWIEC logotype on a white background. Its distinctive typography was inspired by modern mountain handicraft.

We created the entire independent typeface in addition to the new brand trademark.

On one hand, there are certain noticeable vertical proportions, typical for poster wood font. On the other hand, expressive and minimalistic finishing shaped like flaring sheriffs.

REBRANDING OF THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE

The rebranding we offered to the company was of a global scale. Not only did we change the label on the bottle, or the design on the can, we also wanted to introduce its consumers to hang out and appreciate life together.
